Mesmerised

Mesmerised. I am so mesmerised by Herbert von Karajan's conducting. He conducted all of Beethoven's nine symphonies. And it was absolutely amazing. His movements and signals were crystal clear and he made the music flow man. It was enthralling. From his hand movements, I could tell what was coming next, loud or soft, and the way he moved his hands was really, my goodness, I think it made the music really really flowy and smooth. And the orchestra responded really well, piano and forte at the right places and their dynamics were really good.

I absolutely love Symphony No. 7 and 5. He conducted Symphony No. 7 with his eyes closed!! Superb man. Berlin Philharmoniker and Karajan? For a loss of a better word I can only say 'absolutely divine'. The Berlin Philharmoniker is one of my favourite orchestras because they are so dynamic! Absolutely full of live and their music can be caressingly beautiful yet as lively as a dance. Gahhh, I feel like I'm gonna die of an overdose of Karajan and the Berlin Philharmoniker. The music is so beautiful I feel my heart soar.

Unfortunately, Karajan's dead :( He died one day before I was born.

On to non-musical stuff. I just recently returned from my vacation in thailand. It was really awesome. I went to the beach in Pattaya and had A LOT of fun parachuting in the air and getting dragged around by a speedboat. Then I walked around on the seabed, fed the fishes, touch a sea cucumber, sea urchin, clams and a crab. After that we lazed around on the sandy shore and my sisters, dad and I went for a dip in the sea. I just drifted lazily around on a rented float, letting the the waves push me around. Then we moved on to a firing range and I actually got a fire a real pistol, as well as a revolver. It was darn frickin' loud even with the ear muffs on. Every shot fired sounded like an explosion. And I found out that it's really hard to fire a gun accurately cos there's like recoil and all. But it was an eye-opener and guns aren't light -.-

And I got sun-burnt. Haha

We visited the floating market, went elephant trekking (it was seriously bumpy) and visited the Death Railway. Aside from those, it was shopping all the way~~! Haha. Books are slightly cheaper there so I went on a buying spree. I walked out of the bookstore with 5 novels.

That's about my holiday thus far. I've been having quite a bit of fun and all. Christmas is coming! :D Went trekking around our sunny island with Daniel today to Gramercy and Music Essentials in search for scores. Dropped by Kino and bought a book there as well. Then I met up with Talz before going to Plaza Sing to find Doris. Doris and I had dinner together and it was really nice cos I haven't seen that girl in eons! I miss her so much. When we were parting at the mrt station, we were waving non-stop at each other through the glass doors with me in the train and her standing on the platform. Dramatic I know but somehow I felt like tearing then cos it was such an emotional moment. Lol X)

Gosh it's nearly 1am! I'd better be off to bed soon, gotta help my mum out at her office tomorrow. Good night people! :)
